Went for the latest release AVATAR (wiki) at Forum Mall, Elgin Road, with sis, Rahul and Aditya (his younger brother). This is a must must must ... watch movie and strictly speaking in 3D! This movie will give you an out of the world feeling, though the story is somewhat straight forward, about human's natures good and evil. And in the end triumph of the good, but the treatment of the subject is different and very engrossing.
It has been a great experience this time, as very less people knew/noticed I was coming home this December end. That's the best strategy for people like us who get 15 days of leave to get back home almost 2000 kms from the relocated city (Bangalore, for me) due to job (which brings smile at the end of the month). Not many people know that you are here and hence doesn't come up with exorbitant requests of seeing/visiting every one of the relatives (who run away from responsibilities, as per my experience) !!! I feel that I have travelled so far ... can't they take little time outs from their precious ones, for a single day(out of their 365 days) out of these my own 15 days(which are more costlier as they rarely come twice a year), giving me a sense and sigh of relief! It is special to be with family, I realized this time as I have been at home for more than 2 days already! Other times it had been running here and there ... visiting relatives, their relatives, buying sweets for each visit .... not that I hated it, but I was and am tired of it! Worst was I have relatives spread in Howrah twin city of Kolkata, which was my birth city (it is more a town, than a city though, and the Howrah town is the posh area in the district of Howrah :-P) which is now a 2 hour distance from our new residence at Kolkata. One day is for that visit this time too.
On the eve of Christmas, wish you all a Merry Christmas !
