09:20 PM: Spent the whole day at home! Really an achievement for a person who gets weekends off on alternate months. This was the day to freak out. Got to some mall, or Cafe Coffee Day, may be booze and spend the night(till 11 PM is nightlife @Bangalore :-( ) at FUGA !! But I chose to stay home have a lazy afternoon and lazier evening catching up on old friends. First one was one of my school buddies, Koustav, went to his PG, had a good adda. We were three people me, koustav and his roomie Souvik. It was a good time together. This was a different kind of an experience as I have of late become kind of a loner, who gets alone often within a crowd. I was to go to Garuda Mall (1 hr ride from my place, save a traffic jam, the worst by product of modernization of Bangalore) to meet up with my school buddies (Supra, Rahul and Joy), and the occasion was compelling as Joy is the person i had talked to after I came down to the city, but never made it to meet him! Now call that my laziness or our mis timings, plain fact is that we did not meet. I wished to meet him, but just left it out 'cause of my laziness. I have grown too lazy.
Next in scene is my friend Anupam who has been the person to show me light at the end of a tunnel, not by preaching but by example. I save his story for another blog or may be let it remain a mystery as somethings are better left that way :-). Suddenly at around 6:45 p.m. this guy calls me and asks me to meet him, he was waiting on a coffee just outside my house. This was bit strange, as this guy is in night shifts and this was time for him to wake up, or sometimes getting busy with little household chores that you can't escape from, may be getting ready for the pick up cab. I went out and had coffee but his boots told me his shift timings have changed and he was early for the cab which was till then supposed to arrive at 8:30 p.m. We chatted over a lot of things, showed him the pictures of the latest trip I had been to.After two three smokes his cab arrived at 09:10 p.m. and we parted. In the mean time koustav called me for having snacks and I didn't go. Somehow I did not wan't to mix up my time with Anupam and Rahul(this is not my school friend who was at Garuda at this time) with Koustav.
Going through the various impulsive decisions, did not go to meet Joy, did not go for a snack with Koustav, decided to stay at home at around 4:00 pm while I made it a point to get out every weekend that I get, I realized it is happiness that controls your decision and this happiness quotient changes frequently!
Right now this is what I think, may be it will change over time, and right now I need to run for dinner, Koustav is waiting. Don't want to turn face off him again :-)
