5:11 PM: Just spent the laziest morning afternoon of my life. The evening hopefully will be blissful! Arrived @ Kolkata Airport (Netaji Shubhas Bimanbondor, alternately) at around 11 PM yesterday.Got the pre-paid cab booking done by 12:10 PM and guess what, even after roaming though almost quarter the city (they call it shortcuts!) I was home by 12:36 PM! Amazing .... under normal traffic conditions it would take 1-1:30 hrs.
After I reached home, mother served me hot just made rotis, with cauliflower curry and a few pumpkin flower fries! I love my mom, not just because I can have my delicious delicacies, but the fact is that she loves me more than anything else :-P !! She had been quite excited about my visit, and was all smiles to see me after around half an year. She has become slimmer, good for her ailment of the knees, and seemed to be more fit than last time(then she was undergoing an operation). Father and sweet sister were also exited, but they seem to have got habituated to my falling from the sky every half an year, or at least once a year ... lol!!
There has been some changes in the household, the regular nurse got married and there is a new person managing my grand mother.She had been permanently on bed for more than last 2 years. She had been both a pain and pleasure, for these days ... her whole life. She has picked up this amazing ability to narrate "never happened" stories about people and even herself recently (an year or so), after being struck by a Cerebral Stroke at around October 2007.These stories have a certain humor that no one can fail to notice.We laughed the afternoon, hearing her antics though much of it was recollected by my sister!
Planning to go to the South City mall with mom and sis, dad will stay back. Good thing is this mall is so close to our present house! :-D. Hope you guys are enjoying your way ...
